Mexico stocks higher at close of trade; S&P/BMV IPC up 0.52%

Mexico stocks closed higher on Tuesday, with the S&P/BMV IPC index rising 0.52%. Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services, and Consumer Staples sectors led the gains. Grupo Televisa SAB Unit saw the biggest increase, climbing 8.27% to 8.38 points, while Grupo Mexico added 3.05% to 229.56 points, and Orbia Advance Corporation also performed well, up 2.26% to 20.34 points.

On the downside, Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte fell the most, down 3.68% to 209.98 points, with Genomma Lab Internacional and Grupo Aeroportuario Del Sureste also declining. Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 139 to 113, and 10 ended unchanged. Genomma Lab Internacional's shares touched 52-week lows, falling 3.10% to 12.81 points.

Gold Futures for December delivery dropped 1.71% to $4,400.00 per troy ounce, while Crude oil for October delivery rose 3.03% to $94.25 a barrel, and the November Brent oil contract increased by 0.03% to $99.35 a barrel. USD/MXN remained unchanged at 16.92, and EUR/MXN climbed 0.07% to 19.66. The US Dollar Index Futures lost 0.34% at 98.82.
