Malaysia’s First Pokemon Centre Pop-Up Store Lays Down Entry Rules Ahead Of Opening

Malaysia's inaugural Pokemon Centre Pop-Up Store is set to debut soon at Ombak KLCC. This establishment will allow enthusiasts to purchase Pokemon merchandise, with some exclusive pieces. Prior to its opening, Pokemon Malaysia unveiled an entry guidelines on its official Facebook page. These rules will be enforced from September 12 to 14, 2026.

Tickets for entry will be dispensed in Zone 1, situated at Level G at the mall's main entrance. The ticket queue will commence at 6AM, yet distribution will only commence at 8AM. Prospective attendees are advised not to queue before the designated time, as those doing so may be disqualified and barred from entry. Each ticket is valid for one person and cannot be transferred.

Once tickets run out for the day, no additional ones will be issued. Upon obtaining a ticket, visitors must proceed to Zone 2, located on Level 3 of the mall. Only with a valid ticket can one enter this area. Arriving at the appointed time is mandatory for admission. During this early phase, Pokemon Trading Card Game (TCG) products will not be available.

The store operator may also deny entry to those who do not adhere to instructions, create disorder, or breach other guidelines. These rules, according to the Facebook post, aim to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests. While not explicitly stated, they are likely intended to curtail overcrowding and prevent scalpers, a problem that has led Japan's Pokemon Card Stores to implement facial recognition technology.
