Mac Allister ‘very sad’ at lack of new Liverpool deal

Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister expressed his disappointment on Tuesday over not being offered a new contract despite other players, such as Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch, having theirs extended. The Argentine international, 27, admitted that his agent was informed the club was not in a position to provide a contract extension.

Although Mac Allister had a less-than-optimal season last year, he was not the only teammate facing a lackluster defense of the Premier League title, which led to manager Arne Slot's dismissal. The player, who has two years left on his contract, confirmed his determination to continue giving his best for Liverpool. Mac Allister stated he was saddened by the lack of a new deal, particularly as he saw his teammates Dominik and Ryan renew their contracts.

Despite this setback, he remains committed to the club, emphasizing that fans need not worry as he will give 100% until his departure. He expressed his belief that he is in the right environment and mindset to give his all to Liverpool.
