Lean Solutions Group acquires SupportZebra, expands AI-enabled outsourcing

Lean Solutions Group (LSG) has acquired SupportZebra, a company specializing in AI-enabled outsourcing services, to bolster its business process outsourcing operations. The deal, announced on August 24, will add over 1,300 employees to LSG's workforce in the Philippines, bringing the total to more than 2,000 employees across three Philippine markets.

SupportZebra has been operating since 2011, initially focusing on customer support and expanding to include technical support, virtual assistance, and other business-process services. Its clients include companies in sectors such as e-commerce, software, fintech, health care, and insurance, aligning with LSG's desire to grow beyond the logistics industry.

The acquisition brings SupportZebra's expertise in customer experience and back-office functions to LSG's existing technology platform, enhancing LSG's service model in automotive, fintech, e-commerce, software, and health care. This expansion also aligns with LSG's focus on integrating AI into its operations, with SupportZebra's AI-driven tools designed to handle repetitive tasks and allow employees to focus on more complex issues.

With its AI strategy, LeanTek, LSG aims to combine automation with human workers, creating an "expert-in-the-loop" approach. This strategy is further supported by the addition of SupportZebra's services, which will provide access to LeanTek AgentEdge and LeanTek Connect, offering visibility into workforce management and account performance.

The acquisition also strengthens LSG's presence in the Philippines, one of the world's leading technology and English-speaking talent hubs. The expanded workforce and established operation in Cagayan de Oro complement LSG's existing locations in Metro Manila and Cebu, providing increased capacity to handle outsourced work and cater to clients seeking a combination of human workers and AI-powered tools.
