Kerjasama, muafakat dalam Kabinet kekal baik, kata Anwar

Perdana Menteri Anwar Ibrahim has emphasized that the collaboration and consensus within the Cabinet remain strong, despite mounting accusations to the contrary. This unity within the Cabinet is a key factor contributing to political stability and enabling the government to plan for the nation's future. While social media may portray a different picture at times, the overall consensus among the Cabinet members is positive and fosters a sense of stability to plan for the country.

Speaking at the Joint Meeting of Ministers for Commodities and Development in Putrajaya, Anwar stated that the government must leverage this political stability to continue its agenda and implement policies that benefit the nation. He also reminded all parties not to become overly complacent with their achievements, but to continue striving to improve the government's performance.

Bloomberg had previously quoted a source alleging that relations between Anwar and his successor, Zahid Hamidi, have become increasingly tense, leading to the premature adjournment of recent Cabinet meetings. According to this report, the tension stems from the National Front's decision to contest the PRN in Johor and Negeri Sembilan against Pakatan Harapan, as well as increasing pressure from the DAP to reform institutions ahead of the end of this year.

Anwar dismissed these allegations, stating that his relationship with BN Secretary-General Loke Siew Fook is very good. He reiterated that the BN will continue to support the government's coalition until the end of the current administration term.
