Lautaro, speaking to Mundo Deportivo, highlighted Kylian Mbappe as one of the best forwards in the world while also stressing the importance of players performing without the ball. The captain acknowledged the historical significance of the match, noting that Inter won the Champions League 16 years ago under Jose Mourinho, now the Real Madrid manager.

However, he urged his team to stay focused on the task at hand and not be intimidated by their opponents. "We have our own strengths—players who prove year after year that they're at a very high level," Lautaro said. "We are growing as a team, as a group. We know who we're up against, and we've prepared for this match as best as we can. We've recovered well; we're ready."
