Etihad launches flights to Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast

Etihad Airways has announced the commencement of flights to Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast, commencing on October 4, 2026. This new route will provide travelers with a year-round leisure destination, accessible via Red Sea International Airport in Tabuk Province, located approximately three hours from Abu Dhabi. Guests traveling through Etihad's network will be able to reach the Red Sea region with just a single connection in Abu Dhabi, including from various locations across the Gulf and the Indian subcontinent.

The addition of this route marks Etihad's sixth destination in Saudi Arabia, joining Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Medina, and Al Qassim. Antonoaldo Neves, Etihad Airways' Chief Executive Officer, expressed excitement about the new opportunity, stating that the Red Sea offers the type of holiday typically sought through long-haul flights – including islands, reefs, and relaxation – now available for a short flight from Abu Dhabi and a single connection from anywhere within Etihad's extensive network.

Flights between Abu Dhabi and the Red Sea will initially operate once weekly, with service increasing to twice weekly from October 25.
