Driver’s emotional goodbye to KSRTC bus after 18 years goes viral

Dubai: A Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) driver, Paul Kurian, has left social media users in awe with his emotional farewell to the bus he devoted 18 years of his life to. Kurian, hailing from Kattappana in Idukki, concluded his service on September 2 at the Kumily depot, where he had spent the last eight years piloting the same bus, RPE 741. The poignant moment was captured on video and subsequently went viral on the internet.

Kurian's emotional display at the bus's farewell was a testament to the deep bond he shared with his vehicle. After bidding adieu to the bus, he returned and embraced it, touching its tires and bowing before it before departing. The video, recorded by Jose Philip of the KSRTC workshop, showed Kurian’s unwavering dedication to his profession.

His colleague Ananthu Mohan Das described Kurian as a meticulous driver who always ensured the bus was immaculate before commencing service. Das also highlighted his punctilious nature, emphasizing that he never had an accident throughout his long tenure with the vehicle.
