Defense chiefs of Korea, Czech Republic discuss expanding defense cooperation

Defense Minister Ahn Gyu-back held talks with his Czech counterpart Jaromir Zuna on Tuesday to explore avenues for deepening defense and arms cooperation, according to the Seoul defense ministry. The meeting took place during the Seoul Defense Dialogue, where Zuna attended a plenary session. Zuna expressed satisfaction with the current level of bilateral cooperation between Seoul and Prague, spanning various sectors such as nuclear power plants.

He conveyed optimism about further enhancing defense and security cooperation and exchanges between the two nations. In return, Ahn committed to bolstering defense collaboration and leveraging the strengths of both countries in diverse areas. The Korean defense chief also engaged with the defense minister of Papua New Guinea, Elias Kapavore, to deliberate on expanding defense cooperation between their respective nations.
