'Arsenal look top' - Coady
"I thought Arsenal were fluid last season, but I feel like they are actually more fluid this season," says former England defender Conor Coady. "Arsenal look the most ready I've seen them in a long time at this stage of a season," Coady told BBC Radio 5 Live's Monday Night Club.
Former England defender Conor Coady believes Arsenal have become even more fluid this season compared to last year. The reigning Premier League champions have already secured three wins and conceded only one goal in their opening three league games this campaign. Coady, speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live's Monday Night Club, remarked that Arsenal appear to be the most prepared team he has seen at this stage of a season.
Typically, teams are still finding their footing and have a few shortcomings by this point, but Arsenal seems to be well ahead of the competition. Coady attributes this success to what manager Mikel Arteta has achieved over the summer. While he acknowledges that recruitment played a role, it's Arteta's work on the pitch that has truly elevated his players.
Coady is thoroughly impressed by Arsenal's fluidity, describing it as something top managers accomplish through improving the players they already have.
