Ahmadiyya elders urged to uphold moral excellence in digital age

The 40th Annual Rally of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association showcased nearly 2,000 members in Wa, focusing on promoting moral excellence and reinforcing spiritual, social, and moral responsibilities. The three-day conference was held at Nasrat Jahan Ahmadiyya College of Education, with participants from all 16 regions of Ghana.

Upper West Region demonstrated the highest participation, followed by Central, Ashanti, and Greater Accra. Activities included volleyball, football, athletics, and Friday prayers. Upper West Regional Minister Mr. Charles Lwanga Puozuing highlighted the conference's role in reflection, fellowship, and renewal of values to benefit community and national development.

He emphasized that leaders should demonstrate integrity, discipline, humility, responsibility, and service. Puozuing warned of the challenges posed by the digital age, urging members to use technology for education, unity, and human dignity rather than misinformation, hatred, indecency, and intolerance. The Sadr (National President) of Ansarullah, Alhajj Ali Muhammad Ketu, stressed strengthening the relationship with Allah through daily prayers and Qur'an study.

The association's five-year strategic plan aims to improve members' understanding of the Holy Qur'an and their physical well-being, including blood pressure and blood sugar checks. The Catholic Diocese of Wa called for cooperation among religious communities to promote ethical values, responsible technology use, peaceful coexistence, and human development.
