2027: APC chieftain empowers 50 Ogun women, rallies support for Yayi

Ogun State APC gubernatorial candidate, Senator Solomon Adeola, also known as Yayi, revealed during a condolence visit to the family of late actor Taiwo Hassan, or Ogogo, that if he had won the 2027 election, Ogogo would have been his Special Adviser on Tourism and Culture. Yayi praised Ogogo's contributions to acting, culture, and Yoruba heritage during the visit to Ilaro, Ogun State.

He expressed his belief that God had chosen him to appoint Ogogo as his Special Adviser on Culture, stating that they had planned for it. Ogogo, whose real name was Taiwo Hassan, passed away on August 23, 2026, at the age of 66 after fighting stage-four cancer. Yayi described Ogogo's passing as a significant loss to the entertainment industry and commended his talent, humility, and dedication to his craft. The actor was interred in Ilaro following Islamic burial rites.
