2026 Volvo EX90 Launches In Malaysia

Volvo Car Malaysia has unveiled the updated EX90 electric SUV, almost a year after its initial release. This refreshed version brings powertrain and tech enhancements alongside a shift from fully imported to locally assembled production. The exterior design remains largely unchanged, retaining key features like the Thor’s Hammer daytime running lights and grille-less front end.

Inside, the minimalist cabin features a 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Google built-in, supporting Google Assistant, Google Maps, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. The 2026 EX90 offers two Nappa leather color options: Charcoal with Light Ash, and Cardamom with Brown Ash. Under the hood, the locally built model now features an upgraded 800-volt electrical system, boosting power output to 680 PS from 517 PS.

Despite a smaller 106 kWh battery, the SUV delivers a 22-minute 10-80% DC charge, a 10-minute boost to 250 km, and a 11 kW AC charge taking around 10 hours. Under the safety and AI department, the updated EX90 sports dual Nvidia Drive AGX Orin chips capable of 500 TOPS, enabling AI functions and safety features.
