Washington offense overcomes early struggles in Apple Cup win

The defense held strong, allowing Washington State just 0 for 11 on third down and recording eight tackles for loss. However, the offense struggled initially, gaining only 186 total yards in the first half, with 78 of those yards on the ground. Washington State's late touchdown gave Fisch a chance to praise his team's fourth-quarter comeback, noting that their drives resulted in key field position changes and ultimately secured the win.

Quarterback Demond Williams was the standout performer in the fourth quarter, throwing for 115 of his 268 total passing yards and completing all six of his passes. His two touchdown passes set up Washington's final scoring drive, which featured a 35-yard reception by Chris Lawson and an 11-yard rush by Jayden Limar. Fisch commended Williams' performance, emphasizing that responding in the final quarter showcased the team's resilience and unity.
