Lanterns Fake-Out: After A Major Death, John And Hal Realize The Manhunter Is [Spoiler]! Read Episode 4 Recap

In the fourth episode of Lanterns, Hal and John learn the identity of the Manhunter, but their pursuit of the villain proves to be a long and arduous journey. Meanwhile, the Guardians intensify their plan to replace Hal. When Hal visits Sinestro, Sinestro reveals that Hal's new backup, John, is actually Hal's replacement. Sinestro warns Hal not to make the same mistake with John that he did with Sinestro.

Upon returning to Rushville, John constructs a rifle scope and observes Macon's property, suspecting a hidden structure. The sheriff, initially unaware of the Manhunter's identity, decides to aid John and Hal, but warns them that they only have one chance. The trio later finds themselves inside Macon's property, captured by Macon's men when they accidentally trigger a black smoke alarm, rendering their abilities useless.

Macon recognizes John as an artist and demands he draw him in the nude, while Will believes John is an artist after hearing that Zoe, his former nurse, told him. In the car, Kerry reveals that they've missed their only chance to find the Manhunter's identity and that they must wait for Zoe's command. Zoe shows up at John's room, initiating a confrontation.
