US-Iran war: Tehran plans Hormuz exclusion zone as Israel accuses Hezbollah of ceasefire violations

Iran's foreign ministry has warned South Korea against participating in US operations in the Strait of Hormuz, stating that such involvement would carry serious consequences. Seoul is considering contributing to US security efforts in the strategic waterway, but has not made a final decision. Iran's foreign ministry spokesperson, Esmaeil Baqaei, accused South Korea of succumbing to US pressure and intimidation, warning that any military deployment or participation in operations in the Persian Gulf or the Strait of Hormuz would be seen as direct support for the aggressor and have serious consequences.

Meanwhile, Israel has accused Iran-backed Hezbollah of repeatedly violating a ceasefire agreement in recent days. Lebanese state media reported that Israeli strikes on a southern village killed 11 people, including two infants, in an incident that took place after separate raids left seven others dead. Israeli officials condemned Hezbollah's attempts to rebuild its military capabilities in southern Lebanon and vowed to act forcefully against any perceived threats.

Saudi Arabia and the UK discussed regional tensions and efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation, with both foreign ministers calling for intensified diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions and enhance security and stability in the region.
