#SHOWBIZ: Nora Danish cancels Jakarta trip after airport closure

KUALA LUMPUR — Renowned actress Nora Danish has had to cancel her journey to Jakarta, Indonesia, due to the temporary closure of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport caused by a volcanic eruption. The 44-year-old was set to fly on an 11.45 am Batik Air flight to record an episode of the Habis Cerita podcast. However, her flight was grounded when volcanic ash from Mount Anak Krakatau disrupted airport operations throughout the region.

Nora mentioned she hadn't yet reached the airport, stating that being stranded there would have been much worse. Despite her absence, podcast recording will continue in Jakarta as planned, with host Datuk Rossa, Natasha Ozeir, and other featured artists already present. Nora expressed her concern for those impacted by the disaster, hoping for a swift recovery in Indonesia.

She emphasized that as a neighboring country, they should pray for the affected individuals and extend assistance when necessary. Nora advised relying on official updates from authorities and refraining from spreading unverified news, offering prayers for the safety of stranded travelers at Jakarta's airport.
