SC/ST Commission writes to DGP, seeks probe into alleged attack on BRS legislators

The UK Charity Commission has reopened its investigation into Save One Life charity amid concerns that some of its funding intended for Gaza may have ended up with Hamas, according to a spokesperson for the watchdog. The Charity Commission took a closer look at Save One Life's practices after an anonymous complainant raised suspicions that the charity was using an unnamed broker in Turkey to send money to Gaza, potentially funding a designated terrorist group like Hamas.

Previously, the Charity Commission's investigation, initiated last year, was closed after a review of the charity's premises and policies found no evidence of wrongdoing. The charity stated they had cooperated fully with the Commission and provided all relevant documentation regarding their governance, financial oversight, and distribution processes.

Despite this, the Commission has re-engaged with Save One Life's trustees following the re-emergence of the same allegations raised by the same complainant. Save One Life maintains that all funds raised by the charity are used solely for legitimate humanitarian purposes in Gaza.
