Ravens select Gwyn as their starting center for Week 1 at Indianapolis

The Baltimore Ravens have announced that they will begin the NFL season with Jovaughn Gwyn at center for their Week 1 game against the Indianapolis Colts. Coach Jesse Minter made the announcement on Monday, expressing high confidence in Gwyn's abilities. Gwyn, who entered his fourth season in the league after three years with the Atlanta Falcons, will be making his first career start at this position.

Baltimore lost their starting center, Tyler Linderbaum, to free agency earlier in the offseason, and Danny Pinter injured his leg in September. The Ravens have Ethan Pocic as a backup option, but Minter emphasized that Gwyn's selection is not a permanent decision. Offensive line coach Dwayne Ledford, who was with the Falcons prior to joining Baltimore, stated that Gwyn has been training for this opportunity for several years and has been receiving a significant number of reps during his time with the Ravens' offensive line.
