Neom ended Al Hilal's 47-match unbeaten streak in the Saudi Pro League with a 2-0 victory in Riyadh on Monday. The Saudi Arabian club moved closer to the league leaders with the win. In the 15th minute, Koulibaly committed an own goal, opening the scoring for Neom. Koné added a second goal in the 45th minute to secure the win. Al Hilal had previously recorded 35 wins and 12 draws in their 47 league matches before the loss.

The record for the longest unbeaten run in Saudi Pro League history stands with Al Ahli, who went 51 matches without defeat between 2014 and 2016. Al Hilal currently sit at the top of the table with 15 points, while Neom moved up to 12 points in fourth place, narrowing the gap to just three points behind the leaders.
