NPA educates consumers on petroleum safety at Fetu Afahye

The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has utilized this year's Fetu Afahye celebration in Cape Coast to bolster public awareness on petroleum safety, consumer rights, and avenues for lodging grievances. NPA Chief Executive Godwin Kudzo Tameklo spearheaded the initiative, engaging local chiefs, residents, and festival attendees in Oguaaman.

During the festivities, Tameklo emphasized the NPA's commitment to educating consumers about the safe use of petroleum products and available channels for inquiries and complaints. He expressed the NPA's delight in participating in the festival, which unites individuals from diverse backgrounds while providing a direct connection with those who consume petroleum products.

Tameklo stressed that the NPA's involvement extended beyond the festivities, aiming to reinforce crucial messages on petroleum safety and consumer protection. He reiterated that stakeholder satisfaction is a priority in the NPA's downstream petroleum regulatory role. The NPA assured ongoing protection of petroleum consumers through sustained education, efficient complaint management, consumer and market intelligence, and regular public engagement across Ghana.
