Mbappe embraces Ballon d’Or talk after historic World Cup exploits

Kylian Mbappe, the Real Madrid striker, has expressed that it is natural for people to consider him a potential Ballon d'Or winner after his impressive World Cup performance. The France captain, who scored 10 goals at the tournament, is the all-time top scorer in World Cup history with 22 goals. Despite not having won the prestigious trophy yet, Mbappe acknowledged that being part of Real Madrid, regarded as the best club in the world, naturally associates him with prestigious awards.

People frequently approach Mbappe on the street and discuss his chances of winning the Ballon d'Or, considering him a possible candidate for the award. Although Mbappe scored numerous goals during his first two years at Madrid, the club has yet to secure a major trophy. The team has struggled with an unbalanced dynamic, featuring star players like Mbappe and Vinicius Junior, who some argue have not contributed enough to the team's success compared to others such as Ousmane Dembele at Paris Saint-Germain and Raphinha at Barcelona.

Mbappe admitted that the team needs to improve, emphasizing the importance of individual goal-scoring.
