The senior police officer, Hussein Omar Khan, overseeing the narcotics investigation in Bukit Aman, confirmed that a 52-year-old man killed in Seremban 2 on Saturday was the leader of a drug syndicate with decades of experience in producing drugs. A shooting occurred at a residence in Garden Homes, Seremban 2 around 1:30 pm on Saturday when a gunman fired at police, who had to return fire.

The suspect was later found unconscious and pronounced dead at the scene. According to the investigation, the suspect is the syndicate's leader, possessing expertise and knowledge in chemical processes for drug production. He had a history of drug-related crimes since the 90s, with three previous drug-related convictions, and was also charged with abduction.

The house was reportedly converted into a mini-harmful drugs factory, with various chemical substances estimated to be worth RM27.5 million and a stolen revolver. Among the stolen items were an estimated 64.49kg of MDMA solution, 5.2kg of MDMA solution, 104.8kg of MDMA pills, and various processing equipment. Two syndicate members, a 32-year-old local woman and a 34-year-old local man, were arrested in two subsequent raids in Seremban 2 and a condominium in Kuchai Lama, Kuala Lumpur.

The woman had 12 criminal records, six of which involved drugs, while the man had 10, including eight drug-related charges. The syndicate, active since last January, processed and distributed ecstasy both domestically and internationally, and believed they received support from other syndicate members to bring in chemical substances from abroad.

Police also seized various property worth RM98,000, totaling a value of RM27.6 million. The local man and woman remained in custody from July 7 to September 13, while the investigation was conducted in accordance with Section 307 of the Criminal Procedure Code and Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
