Flame IDE is a free desktop Integrated Development Environment (IDE) compatible with macOS, Windows, and Linux. Its creator aimed to streamline development processes by consolidating multiple repositories, Git worktrees, AI agents, browser previews, terminals, debugging, databases, and API testing into a single workspace.
By grouping related projects and keeping branches and changes visible, Flame eliminates the need for separate IDE windows for each repository. The Broadcast terminal can run commands across selected projects, with separate outputs for each, while saved run configurations manage associated scripts, servers, and browser previews.

The Agents Manager allows users to create, monitor, schedule, stop, retry, and review AI tasks across projects. It operates within a built-in browser where users can select elements, instruct AI to fix visual issues, inspect DOM, console errors, page state, and interact with the page to assess changes. This same approach applies throughout the IDE, enabling AI-assisted fixes for terminal errors, failing tests, API responses, profiler results, and code diagnostics.
Flame supports multiple AI models, including Claude Code, Codex, and Gemini through Antigravity, as well as hosted and local providers such as OpenRouter, Ollama, and LM Studio. The IDE also features a visual Folder Viewer, image editor, database tools, REST/GraphQL, Docker and Compose, debugging, testing, profiling, and dependency visualization.
For the developer, Flame saves time by reducing manual tasks, minimizing context switching, and minimizing application openings. The free IDE is available for download on macOS, Windows, and Linux.
