Interior Minister Orders Crackdown on Agents at CDA Facilitation Center

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid an unexpected visit to the Capital Development Authority’s facilitation center, issuing an order for stringent action against any agents operating within its premises. He emphasized that no agent should be present inside the center and directed the authorities to conduct a thorough crackdown.

During the visit, Mohsin Naqvi engaged directly with citizens, seeking insights into the challenges they encountered while accessing services. Residents expressed frustration, stating that the center continued to rely on manual procedures, had not been fully digitized, and frequently failed to deliver required documents on the scheduled dates, compelling applicants to make multiple trips.

The minister voiced his dissatisfaction over the long queues, overcrowding, and extended waiting times at various counters. He instructed the authorities to renovate the building and establish extra counters to accommodate visitors better and enhance the delivery of public services. Mohsin Naqvi also conducted an inspection of the counter designated for senior citizens, ordering officials to prioritize their cases without delay.

He issued immediate directives for resolving complaints and emphasized that citizens should not endure unnecessary inconvenience or prolonged waiting periods. The interior minister directed CDA officials to fully digitize the facilitation center to ensure the swift and transparent resolution of public issues. He also assured citizens that tangible improvements in the center’s operations would be realized within a month.
