HUAWEI’s answer to the iPhone Ultra? A slimmer tri-fold with a privacy screen

HUAWEI has introduced a new tri-fold smartphone, dubbed the Mate XT2, boasting a slimmer design and an array of fresh colors. The device is equipped with a massive 10.2-inch screen and is set to launch with a special edition featuring a privacy screen. The tri-fold phone is powered by HUAWEI's own Kirin 9050 Pro chipset, which delivers a 40% boost in CPU performance.

While Apple is set to enter the foldable phone market with its highly anticipated first-ever folding iPhone later this week, Chinese phone manufacturers are already making waves with their impressive foldable devices. Xiaomi, for instance, is prepping the launch of the Xiaomi 18 Fold, a device whose design bears a striking resemblance to its competitors. However, HUAWEI has been a step ahead in the foldable phone game, with the recent unveiling of the second generation of its tri-fold phones.

At a recent launch event in China, HUAWEI revealed the much-anticipated Mate XT 2 tri-fold phone. Similar to the previous XT series phones from HUAWEI, the Mate XT2 unfolds fully to reveal a 10.2-inch inner screen with a roughly 3.2K resolution.
