Fadhli serang PH untuk alih perhatian daripada dakwaan Hadi, dakwa pemimpin DAP

In a recent development, Pakatan Harapan (PH) leader Ahmad Fadhli Shaari has been accused of attempting to divert attention from the real issue by questioning a police report. This comes after claims that the United States (US) offered assistance in overthrowing the Malaysian government in 2014. PAS Headquarters Chairman Chong Zhemin stated that Hadi's allegation of US support for bringing down the Barisan Nasional (BN) government can be seen as a matter of national security.

Each Malaysian citizen has a right to know if the allegations are true, according to the DAP representative. Earlier, Fadhli had questioned the PH's move to file a police report concerning the alleged US offer of assistance in overthrowing the Malaysian government in 2014. He emphasized that the issue primarily involves Hadi and the US Embassy in Malaysia, both of whom have denied the allegations.

Recently, three police reports were filed at the Cheras Police Station by PH Deputy Chief Bandar Tun Razak V Jonathan, PH Bandar Tun Razak Women's Association Vice President Mazlina Osman, and PH Bandar Tun Razak Youth Leader Amarul Hisham Jalil. During his annual PAS Conference, Hadi claimed that the party had been offered assistance by an outside party to overthrow the government during former US President Barack Obama's visit to Malaysia in 2014.

Hadi alleged that Takiyuddin Hassan and Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar, who were his political advisors at the time, went to the embassy to hold a meeting. However, the US Embassy in Kuala Lumpur later refuted the claims, asserting that the country never attempted to determine who was leading Malaysia. Chong argued that instead of attacking PH, Fadhli should question why Hadi's claim was not fully supported by Takiyuddin.

According to him, Hadi claimed that the US offered assistance to PAS to overthrow the BN government, but Takiyuddin only confirmed that a representative of the embassy asked whether PAS had any plans to overthrow the government. Hadi did not confirm whether the US offered money, resources, political support, or any other form of assistance.

Fadhli should also question why PAS remained silent for 12 years if the party truly believed that an outside power had attempted to overthrow Malaysia's government. Did PAS report the alleged offer to the police, Wisma Putra, or Najib's administration in 2014? If a report was made, PAS must disclose it; if not, PAS must explain its silence.
