Fadhli serang PH untuk alih perhatian daripada dakwaan Hadi, dakwa pemimpin DAP

Ahmad Fadhli Shaari, leader of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition, faced accusations of attempting to divert attention from a serious issue when he questioned Prime Minister Hadi Awang's statement about the United States (US) offering assistance to topple the Malaysian government in 2014. Chong Zhemin, a Parliament member from Kampar, stated that Hadi's allegation about the US providing help to bring down the Malaysian government could be seen as a matter involving national sovereignty and security.

Fadhli challenged the PH leader's action of filing a police report regarding the Hadi allegation, which reportedly involved US assistance in bringing down the Malaysian government in 2014. Both Hadi and the US Embassy in Malaysia have denied the allegations. On Saturday, three police reports were filed by PH deputy head Jonathan Tan, PKR Tun Razak Women's Union president Mazlina Osman, and PKR Tun Razak Youth Leader Amarul Hisham Jalil at the Cheras Police Station.

Hadi claimed during his annual PAS convention that former US President Barack Obama's visit to Malaysia in 2014 saw the party offered assistance by outsiders to bring down the government. According to Hadi, Takiyuddin Hassan and Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar, who were his political aides at the time, traveled to the relevant embassy to meet.

However, the US Embassy in Kuala Lumpur later denied that the country had ever tried to determine who would lead Malaysia. Chong further stated that instead of attacking PH, Fadhli should ask why Hadi's own statement was not fully supported by Takiyuddin. Hadi claimed that the US offered aid to PAS to bring down the National Front (BN) government, but Takiyuddin only confirmed that one embassy official asked whether PAS had plans to bring down the government.

Hadi did not confirm that the US offered money, resources, political support, or any other form of aid. Fadhli should also ask why PAS remained silent for 12 years if the party truly believed that an external power had tried to bring down the Malaysian government. Did PAS report the alleged offer to the police, Putra Palace, or Najib's administration in 2014? If a report was made, PAS should disclose it; if not, PAS must explain its silence.
