El dueño de ElPozo compra la turolense Jamones Albarracín

Muyesteemed ElPozo owner Fuertes Holding has just sealed the acquisition of Spanish jamon producer Jamones Albarracín. This marks the first time the company enters the maquila sector, bringing on board a brand with over two and a half decades of experience.

Fuertes, the parent firm of ElPozo, sealed the deal for an undisclosed sum. The acquired company, Jamones Albarracín, belongs to the Dobón family and boasts three production facilities capable of processing up to four million pieces. The company has a robust track record in salting, drying, and curing processes.

Following this acquisition, Jamones Albarracín will continue its current operations, serving existing and future clients. The company plans to invest in expanding and modernizing its facilities, as well as increasing the capacity of its drying ovens. This move bolsters Fuertes' position in the Spanish pork industry, aligning with the company's strategy of sustainable growth, diversification, and value creation.

This is Fuertes' second acquisition this summer, following its July purchase of poultry companies Tolvasa and Paasa. Both companies have over 50 years of history in Casas Ibáñez and Albacete, specializing in raising, processing, and selling chicken.
