Batik Air halts KL and Subang-Jakarta flights after fresh volcanic‑ash assessment

Kuala Lumpur, September 7 - Batik Air has ceased scheduled flights between Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta following fresh volcanic activity at Mount Anak Krakatau, according to the airline. The cancellation follows a recent operational assessment and ongoing collaboration with aviation authorities and airport operators. Batik Air stated that affected travelers may reschedule their travel to the next available flight, provided availability, or request a refund.

The airline has halted eight flights today, six of which run between Kuala Lumpur International Airport and Jakarta, and two between Subang and Jakarta. Batik Air, a Malaysian carrier operating under Indonesia’s Lion Air Group, made the announcement as reported by Bernama.
