Abu Dhabi’s new Harry Potter lands explained – and what they could include

Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi is set to unveil three Harry Potter-themed lands, bringing the magical world to life on Yas Island. The expansive project, covering around 63,000 square metres, is slated for completion in 2029 and will feature exclusive rides and experiences. Each land represents a unique aspect of the beloved series.

Diagon Alley, the first stop, is where Harry first encounters the wizarding world. Fans of the books will recognize the various shops and experiences that could be recreated here. Madam Malkin's robe shop, Fluerish and Blotts book shop, and Fred and George's Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes are just a few of the possibilities that could bring the spirit of Diagon Alley to life.

Additionally, the Leaky Cauldron pub and Gringotts Bank, with its winding underground tunnels, could provide immersive dining and exploration opportunities.

Hogwarts, the school at the heart of Harry's adventures, is the next land to be explored. Visitors can immerse themselves in the daily life of Hogwarts, from sleeping in dormitories and attending lessons to participating in Quidditch matches. The Sorting Hat, moving staircases, and house common rooms offer a wealth of possibilities for interactive exhibits and experiences.

Finally, the Forbidden Forest, a perilous yet fascinating part of Harry's journey, could serve as the basis for a darker, more mysterious attraction. Home to creatures like centaurs, giant spiders, unicorns, and thestrals, the forest offers ample opportunities for storytelling and adventure. The Ford Anglia, Arthur Weasley's enchanted car, could also make an appearance, providing a unique mode of transportation for visitors.
