Zahid beri bayangan sambung ‘gelombang biru’ di Melaka

Zahid Hamidi, the Barisan Nasional (BN) leader, imagines continuation of the "blue wave" phenomenon in Melaka's Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition. As the Umno president, Zahid acknowledged the appeal of the "blue wave" among young people and voters in the state. Speaking at the closing of the Melaka Youngsters' Celebration X in the Melaka International Trade Centre (MITC) alongside Chief Minister Ab Rauf Yusoh, Zahid stated this during a discussion on the upcoming general elections.

He further asserted that the blue wave observed in Johor and Negeri Sembilan would likely manifest in Melaka as well. On August 31, Zahid had stated that BN's cooperation with any potential coalition opposing the Perikatan Nasional would be decided after the dissolution of the DUN (Dewan Undangan Negeri). Today, while maintaining a seemingly amicable relationship with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, Zahid reiterated that their connections remain cordial.

This comes after Bloomberg's report citing sources that claim the relationship between Zahid and the Pakatan Harapan (PH) leader is increasingly tense, causing the recent Cabinet meeting to be cut short.
