Wright believes Morgan Rogers ‘would have loved’ Arsenal move before Chelsea transfer

Ian Wright has expressed his disappointment that Arsenal missed out on signing Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa. The 24-year-old England international has already impressed in his first two Premier League games for Chelsea, scoring once and providing an assist. Arsenal were linked with Rogers for some time and Wright believes the club 'did need' him to bolster their frontline.

He said Rogers 'would have loved' to join Arsenal if a deal had been reached. "He is the one we were linked with ages ago and he would have loved to have come, I can feel it," Wright told Sky Sports' Stick to Football podcast.
