Iliman Ndiaye, the 26-year-old midfielder, insists that one must not say no when Manchester City approaches. The young player, who has been thrust into the starting lineup of his new club after a £60 million transfer from Everton on transfer deadline day, stated that he was thrilled to be playing in the Champions League with the world's biggest football club.

Despite Everton finishing in the relegation zone during his two years at the club, Ndiaye maintained that his ultimate goal was to play in the Champions League and join one of the best teams in the world. He admitted that leaving Everton was difficult, as he had formed strong bonds with both fans and teammates. However, he emphasized that sometimes players must move on, as is the nature of football.

Ndiaye's journey began in non-league football with Boreham Wood, before he played only seven miles away from the Etihad Stadium at Hyde United. He then had a brief stint at Sheffield United and a season at Marseille before signing for Everton for £15 million in 2024. Ndiaye expressed that he doesn't dwell on the past, focusing instead on the future and working tirelessly to reach this significant milestone.
