Two dead, two critical after small plane crashes in California

Two individuals lost their lives and two others suffered critical injuries following a small plane crash near Sierra Sky Park Airport in Fresno, California, on Saturday. The exact cause of the crash remains undetermined, according to initial reports from ABC30 News. The aircraft came down near Blythe Avenue, in close proximity to the airport, as confirmed by the Fresno fire department.

The two victims who were critically injured were immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment. Emergency services, including the Fresno police department, Fresno fire department, Fresno County sheriff’s office, and the North Central fire department, all responded to the crash scene. In addition, Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) stepped in to address the aftermath, which had caused temporary power disruptions for nearby residents.

The power outage was eventually rectified. At this stage, the US authorities have not disclosed any additional information regarding the identities of those involved or the circumstances leading to the crash, as the situation is still under investigation.
