Tinubu’s alleged drug case: US firm reveals next line of action

A US-based political advisory and lobbying firm, Von Batten-Montague-York, has announced its next course of action regarding the alleged drug trafficking case implicating Nigeria's President Bola Tinubu. In a post on their verified X account, the firm stated that the title of their forthcoming briefing to the Trump administration and Congress is that most Nigerian senior government officials are working to shield Tinubu.

The firm criticized the Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, for dismissing the fight for the release of Tinubu's alleged heroin-trafficking records as "a storm in a teacup; a journey to nowhere." The firm questioned why a cabinet-level Nigerian minister would spend time and effort responding to a small American lobbying firm. They accused the Nigerian Presidency of acting like a narco-state, utilizing state power to protect its alleged drug-dealing president, Tinubu.

The FBI alleged that Tinubu was part of a criminal organization that smuggled heroin from Nigeria into the US during the 1980s and 1990s. The firm stated that they are lobbyists and advocates, tasked with building the case before the White House and Congress, raising US public awareness, and keeping members of Congress focused on the issue.

They believe the Nigerian government under Tinubu is a narco state, and the US should ask why South American drug traffickers are flocking to Nigeria.
