Three siblings found dead on father’s farm in Ondo

In Akure, Ondo State, a family is devastated after the tragic discovery of three siblings dead near a river on their farm. The victims, 11-year-old twins Joshua Jonah and Jacob Jonah, and their five-year-old sister Blessing Jonah, were found on September 4, 2026. The children had accompanied their father, Samuel Jonah, to the farm on that Friday.

They were last seen leaving the farm and heading home. However, their absence was noted upon the father's return, triggering a search. The bodies were found on Saturday, near the farm's riverbank. Ondo State Police Command spokesperson, Jimoh Abayomi, confirmed the incident, stating the police are investigating the circumstances.

Abayomi noted the children had gone to the farm with their father before being reported missing. The bodies have been released to their father for burial, as the police continue their investigation into the cause of the children's deaths.
