'Students tormented by BJP': Rahul backs MPSC paper leak protests in Maharashtra

Lok Sabha leader of opposition Rahul Gandhi has rallied behind students protesting against alleged irregularities in Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) examinations, asserting that every student is tormented by the BJP regime. Rahul, in a post on X, explained that thousands of students were protesting in Maharashtra due to their shattered trust in the system, not just one exam or recruitment, but the entire system.

He lambasted the BJP, alleging that they had seized control of a constitutional body like MPSC and destroyed its credibility through paper leaks, stalled recruitments, inhumane hostel conditions, and fraudulent DBT practices. Rahul urged the government to heed the students' demands and act promptly, warning that their protests would escalate until justice was served.

The Mumbai Police are currently investigating the alleged leak of the question paper for MPSC's Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Inspector examination, which was conducted on March 22. The recruitment process for Drug Inspector posts has been canceled following a preliminary inquiry into alleged malpractice in the screening examination. Six individuals, including three MPSC officials, have been arrested in connection with the leak.
