Michigan QB Bryce Underwood Orchestrates Stunning Week 1 Result

During Michigan's inaugural college football game of the 2026 season, sophomore quarterback Bryce Underwood delivered a commanding performance in the opening drive, leading a five-play, 61-yard scoring march that electrified Michigan Stadium. However, Underwood's drive ended with a one-yard touchdown run that electrified the crowd.

In the latter half of the contest, Underwood's play fell apart, completing just 12 of 22 pass attempts for 170 yards, one touchdown and an interception. Rushing nine times, he gained 47 yards and scored another touchdown. He also fumbled on a late play, but Michigan recovered the ball.
