Masuk syurga kerana rahmat Allah, bukan kerana undi parti politik, kata Mujahid

Former Malaysian Prime Minister's Department (Ministry of Religious Affairs) official Mujahid Yusof Rawa claims that one's entry into heaven is based on Allah's mercy and grace, not political party voting, according to a report. In a Facebook post, Rawa criticized the notion of selling one's way into heaven for political gain, stating that it is an insult to Islam.

He questioned how a party that denounces fellow Muslims and brands those who disagree as hypocrites could ever merit Allah's mercy or blessings. Rawa also questioned how a party that is deceitful and dishonest for the sake of power could grant someone entry into heaven. His remarks come in response to a statement by PAS Deputy Secretary-General Takiyuddin Hassan, who said that being a member of PAS might be equated with gaining entry into heaven, reflecting the party's Islam-centric and harmonious principles.

Takiyuddin argued that if one dies fighting to preserve Islam, they are considered a martyr and granted a reward, and thus would enter paradise. He reiterated that PAS's current membership exceeds one million people nationwide. Meanwhile, the Deputy Chairman of the Umno Religious Scholars Council, Khairuddin Aman Razali, echoed Takiyuddin's sentiments, emphasizing that the path to reward and paradise in politics involves upholding principles that align with Islam, not just joining any political party. He added that this applies to any Islamic party or organization striving for the same cause.
