Loke: Keep Anwar as PM to complete reform agenda

DAP secretary-general Anthony Loe has urged Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to retain the position of Prime Minister for the remainder of the parliamentary term, emphasizing that the remaining 15 months should be utilized to achieve crucial reform objectives. Loe, who represents Seremban, asserts that Anwar still enjoys the backing of a majority of MPs, rendering an early election unnecessary.

He advocates for the Government to concentrate on executing previously agreed-upon reforms, including constitutional amendments to separate the roles of the Attorney-General and Public Prosecutor and to cap the Prime Minister's tenure at two terms or 10 years. Both of these reforms have already been approved at the Cabinet level and presented to Parliament through the Special Select Committee process.

Loe asserts that these reforms, along with presenting Budget 2027, should be the Government's top priorities during the forthcoming parliamentary session.
