Lee heads to France for state visit, summit with Macron

President Lee Jae Myung embarked on a four-day state visit to France on Sunday, marking the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations. The visit will culminate in a summit meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, focusing on enhancing cooperation in security, the economy, and other key areas.

Lee will kick off his trip in Nice, attending the Lumiere Summit at Saint-Paul-de-Vence, a gathering dedicated to the future of cinema. Upon arriving in Paris, he will engage in a series of high-level meetings. These include a one-on-one luncheon with Macron, followed by a summit and a dinner banquet hosted by the French leaders at the Elysee Palace.

Additionally, Lee will participate in a business roundtable featuring 20 companies from both countries, showcasing potential areas of collaboration. This diplomatic mission aims to strengthen the strategic partnership forged during Macron's April visit to South Korea, with a focus on bolstering bilateral cooperation in critical sectors.
