KP CM determined to hold Karachi rally as PTI convoy en route to Hyderabad

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi is steadfast in his plans to hold a rally in Karachi, even as his convoy heads towards Hyderabad. The chief minister, in a video, expressed his determination to reach both Hyderabad and Karachi, regardless of any hurdles that may arise. Accompanied by PTI’s provincial President Junaid Akbar, Afridi has been campaigning for five days in Sindh in support of the party’s protest for the release of Imran Khan and his prompt medical treatment at Shifa International Hospital.

While PTI claimed that routes were blocked for its caravan traveling from Hyderabad to Karachi, the police denied these allegations. SSP Shahzeb Chachar confirmed there were no blockades on the Tandojam Toll Plaza, which links Hyderabad with Tando Allahyar, where the KP CM’s rally is scheduled to take place. Afridi acknowledged the possibility of obstacles but insisted the party convoy would make its way to Hyderabad and eventually Karachi.

The PTI Sindh President, Haleem Adil Sheikh, shared a video of himself driving a truck in Tando Allahyar, claiming it was placed to block the convoy’s path. He later posted videos of the people welcoming the PTI convoy in Hyderabad. The PTI criticized the alleged obstruction of their rally and accused the Sindh government of using the police to arrest their workers in multiple cities of Sindh.

The party deemed these actions a manifestation of the PPP’s hypocrisy and fear, emphasizing that the people of Sindh have the right to support the party of their choice and voice their opinions. The PTI demanded an end to any obstruction to their political activities and the immediate release of workers allegedly detained in Hyderabad, Karachi, and other parts of Sindh.
