Kaduna APC consensus aspirants convert campaign structures to 2027 mobilisation force

A coalition of aspirants who embraced the consensus decision within the Kaduna State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have pledged to redirect their campaign resources towards bolstering the party’s chances in the 2027 elections. The aspirants, collectively known as the APC Consensus Aspirants Forum, unveiled their plans at a press conference held at the Governor Uba Sani Campaign Office in Kaduna.

According to Godwin Luka (Mai Solar), the forum's chairman, their focus is to convert the infrastructure developed during their individual campaigns into a grassroots mobilisation network dedicated to backing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Uba Sani, and other APC hopefuls.

Luka affirmed the decision stemmed from their dedication to the party and their conviction in the efficacy of APC administrations at both federal and state levels. He underscored that the aspirants had accepted the consensus process championed by Governor Uba Sani and willingly relinquished their individual aspirations to facilitate the emergence of other party members as the party's standard-bearers.

The CORE mandate of the forum, according to Luka, is to elevate their responsibility towards the party, translating their commitment into a more significant impact on the electoral landscape.

The aspirants intend to engage at multiple levels, from polling units and wards to local government and community spheres. They also plan to directly interact with residents, attentively listening to their grievances and communicating the successes of the incumbent administrations. Luka cited ongoing federal infrastructure projects, such as the Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano road and the Sokoto-Badagry corridor, as well as state-level initiatives in education and healthcare, including road expansions and health facility renovations, as compelling reasons for the forum to back President Tinubu's re-election bid.

In a call for unity, Luka urged all APC members to uphold discipline and reconciliation ahead of the election. He emphasized that the consensus arrangement should be perceived not as the conclusion of political engagement but as the inception of a more profound commitment to fortify the party and secure a victory in 2027.
