2027: Tinubu made life expensive for Nigerians, I’ll make it affordable – Atiku

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has vowed to make life more affordable for Nigerians following President Bola Tinubu's recent economic policies. The former Vice President has criticized Tinubu's approach, stating that it has led to higher fuel prices, food prices, and transport costs, thereby leaving Nigerians with emptier pockets.

Speaking in a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, Atiku emphasized that Nigerians require relief from the economic hardships they have faced under Tinubu's administration. He urged the nation to reject the current government for its negative impact on the economy and to embrace a different plan that prioritizes production, job creation, and lower living costs.

Atiku's campaign message is clear: Nigeria must produce more goods within the country, refine them locally, and generate Nigerian jobs to reduce the cost of living. He insists that the choice before the nation is simple: either continue with an economy that takes more from people or build one that puts money back into their pockets. Atiku promises relief from "empty pockets" and "endless hardship" by making life affordable once again.
