Inter Milan mount stunning comeback to beat Napoli

Reigning Serie A champions Inter Milan staged an incredible comeback to defeat last season's runners-up Napoli in a thrilling match. Lautaro Martinez netted twice for Inter, including a last-minute winner, as the hosts battled back from a 2-0 deficit.

Napoli took the lead twice in the second half, scoring back-to-back goals in the 50th and 57th minutes. However, Inter recovered swiftly, equalizing through Federico Dimarco in the 60th minute and then taking the lead again with a 90th-minute strike from Martinez.

Marcus Thuram had a chance to equalize for Napoli just before the end, but his header hit the post. Italy international Jones made an impact, coming off the bench for his second appearance since joining Inter from Liverpool. Despite John Stones and Djed Spence not featuring, Inter maintained their unbeaten home record in Serie A since November 2025.
