Hospital in Nepal heals flood injured with a helping hand — from Express readers

In the aftermath of Nepal's devastating flash floods, Jibjibe Rural Hospital in Rasuwa district has become a lifeline for injured residents. Typically a primary medical centre for routine ailments, the hospital has transformed into a beacon of hope amid the crisis. Citizens' donations have funded the acquisition of vital medical equipment, including X-ray machines and operation theatre tables.

Prior to the floods, around 80-100 patients visited the hospital daily; now, it treats 100-130 daily. The majority of patients require psychosocial support for post-traumatic stress disorder, with many having lost loved ones in the disaster. The hospital, which plans to expand to a larger facility, is grateful for the Express readers' aid, enabling local treatment instead of costly referrals to Dhunche or Kathmandu.
