In Punjab, former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has once again proven his unyielding nature, even as a BJP member, by challenging Prime Minister Narendra Modi's reference to "Dimag Naxals." The Captain's inquiry into what these terms imply and how to differentiate those labeled as such from individuals engaging in lawful democratic dissent has sparked significant buzz in the political world.

Some view his intervention as a sign of possible return to government, or at least a reminder of his independent spirit. However, many familiar with Amarinder Singh doubt that his questioning now holds much significance. In fact, questioning the establishment, regardless of the source, has always been his trademark.

Meanwhile, in Rajasthan, Congress's Sachin Pilot has been paired with former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot's archrival, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, in charge of Congress operations. This reversal is reminiscent of the cycle of political equations, as Pilot once attempted to unite the party while Randhawa sought change at the top. The question remains: how fair will Pilot be to Randhawa, and who will be in charge of whom?

Punjab has also provided a striking visual comparison between two incidents. Mohanjit Singh, a youth from Sheron, displayed a black cloth during a Lok Milni program, allegedly sparking police brutality. This incident echoes a moment from December 17, 2015, when the current Chief Minister, Bhagwant Mann, offered a glass of water to AAP MP Bhagwant Mann, who was shouting slogans during a CBI raid.

Time has reversed roles, with a protester now leading the state, while another protester's black flag has become the focus of controversy. IPS officer Ravjot Kaur Grewal has been embroiled in multiple controversies, starting with her posting as Sangrur SSP and subsequent suspension before the bypoll. In her current role as chief minister's home district SSP, a youth's claim of police torture after displaying a black flag during Mann's program has raised concerns.

While Grewal's fate may change due to these controversies, it appears they are a recurring theme in her career.
