Chonburi man offers 8,900 eggs after claiming lottery wins in 10 straight draws

CHONBURI — On 6 September 2026, a 44-year-old man named Damrong presented more than 8,900 eggs at Wat Woraphot Sangkhawat temple in Bang Nang subdistrict. He fulfilled a vow after claiming he had won lottery prizes in about 10 consecutive draws.

Damrong, residing in Si Racha district, had prayed for good fortune at an old Thao Wessuwan statue at the temple. He prepared an offering with red roses, soft drinks, water, and thousands of eggs. After lighting incense, he drew the number 570 and shared it with reporters and residents, who considered it a potential lottery tip for the following draw on 16 September.

Damrong first discovered the Thao Wessuwan shrine while working as a driver transporting workers. He prayed there for luck and started winning small lottery prizes. During temple construction, he volunteered for free, considering the work merit-making. Subsequently, he made a new vow, promising to return with eggs, drinks, and roses if he received a larger financial windfall.

Damrong intends to distribute the eggs to nearby communities to help alleviate household expenses. He also plans to use the number 570 from the ceremony to guide his lottery number selection for the upcoming draw.
