Bahrain's Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa engaged in discussions with Saudi Health Minister Fahad Al-Jalajel during a GCC health ministers meeting in Manama. At the 12th gathering of GCC health ministers, Minister Al-Jalajel delivered greetings from Saudi Arabia's leadership, expressing hopes for ongoing advancement and prosperity for Bahrain and its citizens.

The talks underscored the strong relationships among GCC nations and the necessity of further fortifying collaborative efforts, especially in the health domain, to enhance healthcare systems and improve their preparedness and effectiveness. This meeting was part of Al-Jalajel's involvement in the 12th GCC health ministers meeting and the 89th session of the Council of Health Ministers, which took place in Bahrain to discuss shared health objectives and improve coordination and integration among member states.

The discussions covered various critical areas, such as promoting innovation and digital transformation in healthcare, enhancing health preparedness, following up on the unified action plan for GCC health ministers (2026–2030), and fostering cooperation and exchange of expertise and best practices to strengthen health systems' efficiency and sustainability, thereby improving public health across the GCC.

Minister Al-Jalajel also met with health ministers from individual GCC states to explore opportunities for advancing cooperation in health fields of mutual interest. He extended an invitation for GCC health ministers to visit Saudi Arabia the following year, as it will host the 47th session of the GCC Supreme Council.
